National Bike to Work Day Celebration!
Moab celebrated the National Bike to Work Day on Friday morning, May 16th, 2008. Chile Pepper Bike Shop along with help from Moab Immediate Care,
Red Rock Bakery, The Love Muffin Cafe, Moonflower Market and Mayor Dave Sakrison, local residents were provided a breakfast stop at the corner of Center
Street and Main. The breakfast stop had approximately 50 people show up on their bikes who were on their way to work or school. It was a good turn out and
we hope to see more residents next year! Chile Pepper and Moab Immediate Care have a goal to get more people who live in Moab to bike commute. By
giving incentives such as labor waived on three tune-ups, a chance to win a commuter bike and cool t-shirts made for the event, approximately 18 people
signed up. Whoever logs the most commutes over the next year will be the winner of a new commuter bike. We will post the winner next April 15th. Thanks
again, Moab residents, for your participation in Bike To Work Week!
